Standard Chimney Sweeping

Our Standard Chimney Sweeping Service is ideal for those whose open fires, stoves and woodburners are already in situ.

Ideally, you will know the history of the fire/chimney and it will have been in use by yourself for a long time.

Standard sweep usually includes:

- basic check of the appliance and lower parts of the flue
- clean using appropriate sweeping equipment
- smoke draw test
- Official paperwork/certification backed by the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps

Cost - £££

New Homeowner Inspection

Our immensely popular New Homeowner Inspection Service doers exactly what it says on the tin.

It is designed for those who have recently moved into a property and who do not have any paperwork relating to the fireplace.

You can learn more about your fireplace and not run the risk of ‘leaving it to chance’.

Please note: A New Homeowner Inspection is not a Certificate of Compliance for the install. These can only be issued by the original installer or in some cases your local council. Following a New Homeowner Inspection, we issue relevant paperwork documenting our work by way of either a Certificate of Chimney Sweeping, a Warning Note or, in some cases, both.

Live Bird / Nest Removal

Chimneys are popular places for birds to either nest/get stuck in.

With nests, once they’ve decided they want to set up home in your chimney, it won’t be long before they’ll block the flue.

Nests are protected by law and cannot usually be removed during the nesting season. As such, it’s our policy not to remove live nests – or nests which are capable of being active – between February-July inclusive.

Open Fire Installation

There’s something timeless about an open fire. The crackle of burning logs, the glow of the flames, and the warmth filling the room — it’s the heart of a home.

Chimney Integrity Test

Putting an old chimney back into use is an exciting idea. But before you can do that, there are certain things you must do.

Flues by their very nature are in a constant state of deterioration. The extent of that depends on a number of things, such as the age of the flue, what it has been used for, how often it has been used, the type of fuel burnt on it and also whether it has been ‘modified’ in any way.

If you just want some peace of mind
our chimney integrity testing service can help with that.
